The word “grace” has a lot of meaning to Dr. Caesar and is very important to her. When asked why she chose to attribute both of her grandmothers in this way, Dr. Caesar responds, “I believe my life is led by God’s grace and grace is what gets me through my day.”
Grace Neurology Clinic was established in Spring of 2020. The name for the clinic was inspired by Dr. Caesar’s grandmothers and her Christian faith. Grace Samuel was Dr. Caesar’s paternal grandmother who was head nurse at the hospital where Dr. Caesar and the majority of her paternal extended family was born. Violet Parthasarathi was Dr.

Violet Parthasarathi was Dr. Caesar’s maternal grandmother and a family physician in South India. Grace Neurology is led by strong women but also inspired by some.
Rajani Ruth Caesar, MD is a general neurologist who has been practicing neurology in East Texas since 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and her medical degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
After medical school, Dr.Caesar conducted research in traumatic brain injury at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She went on to complete an internship in Toledo, Ohio, and neurology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Caesar served as chief resident in both programs and was a member of the Neurology® green journal Resident and Fellow Editorial Team.
Before starting Grace Neurology Clinic, Dr.Caesar worked at Diagnostic Clinic of Longview (DCOL) as an outpatient neurologist. Prior to DCOL, she was stroke medical director and neurohospitalist at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Texas Neurological Society, Gregg-Upshur Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.
She has been married to Hans de Jong of Hans de Jong Irrigation Services for 29 years. They share two adult children and three dogs. Dr. Caesar enjoys being with her family, reading, traveling and watching movies.
Ms. Payne is our practice manager who has over 30 years of clinic experience. She has been a vital part of the east Texas medical community and we are proud to have her lead our team.
Ms. Reiner is our care coordinator and front office administrator. Her experience spans two states and many years. She will be your first contact with Grace Neurology and is experienced in coordinating excellent care.
Ms. Kennair is our clinic’s Licensed Vocational Nurse, bringing 28 years of experience in the East Texas area. As an LVN, she provides hands-on care to our patients and supports our medical team in daily clinical operations. We are incredibly thankful to have her on our team!
